Mountain Mama Creative Guru and Production Manager Piper Michelle has always had an enthusiasm for two things: fashion and sports.

After graduating in Fashion Design from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning, Piper promptly moved to SoCal, where she could enjoy beautiful weather all year long, with access to the ocean, the mountains, and everything in between.

In 2007, her eager attitude and gregarious personality landed her a spot as a contestant on Season 14 of CBS’s reality-television series Survivor: Fiji.

Since then, Piper has been living her dream: designing for the outdoor industry while dabbling in everything from yoga to kickboxing – when she’s not showboatin’ at climbing competitions, or at least wrestling the pebbles in Black Mountain, Bishop, Pine Mountain, and beyond.

Piper and Teresa met in 2009 through a mutual climbing friend Teresa had grown up with in the Bay Area and Piper knew from working in NYC. 

Small world, right? A few clicks of social networking devices later, Piper and Teresa arranged their first meeting.

Piper fell in love with the Mountain Mama mantra and couldn’t wait to join the team...and the rest is history!
